Part of Faith Foundation and achieved certificate of appreciation ( Service)

Volunteering with the Faith Foundation under the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” initiative was one of the most impactful experiences of my journey so far. It gave me the opportunity to contribute to a cause that deeply aligns with my belief in mental health awareness, education, and hope as the foundation for a healthy society.

When I first met Ms. Susan Samson, Director of Programs at the Faith Foundation, our shared perspective on the importance of hope and mental health immediately resonated with me. It was inspiring to see how the organization worked to empower youth and promote recovery-oriented conversations around addiction and well-being.

As a student passionate about technology and design, I wanted to bring creativity into this mission. I developed digital posters, infographics, and awareness materials that transformed complex information about drug de-addiction and tobacco control into engaging, visually accessible content. Seeing my work being used in community outreach programs and awareness drives was incredibly fulfilling—it made me realize how design and technology can be powerful tools for social change.

Receiving a Certificate of Appreciation and Trophy from the Faith Foundation, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, was a moment of great pride. But more than recognition, this experience taught me compassion, collaboration, and the importance of using one’s skills to give back to society.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

I demonstrated perseverance and commitment by consistently dedicating time and effort to design digital posters, brochures, and awareness materials for the Faith Foundation’s “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” initiative, ensuring that each piece contributed meaningfully to spreading awareness about drug de-addiction and mental health.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Working closely with the Director of Programs, Ms. Susan Samson, and other volunteers helped me enhance my teamwork and communication skills, as we collaborated to plan outreach drives, share ideas, and create impactful visual campaigns that reflected collective effort.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance

This experience engaged me with issues of global importance such as drug addiction, tobacco control, and mental health awareness, allowing me to contribute to a cause that promotes healthier, more informed, and socially responsible communities worldwide.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions

While designing and sharing awareness materials, I was careful to ensure that all content was ethical, respectful, and sensitive, avoiding stigmatization and focusing on compassion and hope to encourage individuals toward recovery and well-being.

Service:

This experience also qualifies as a Service because it directly addressed a significant social issue—drug de-addiction and mental health awareness among youth. The materials I created, in collaboration with the Faith Foundation team, were used in outreach drives and awareness programs to educate communities about the dangers of substance abuse and promote recovery. Working together allowed us to combine creativity, empathy, and communication to make the information accessible and impactful. By using my skills to support a cause that benefits others and by actively contributing within a team, I was able to make a positive social contribution and embody the spirit of service and collaboration in CAS.
