LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

Karuna Club is committed to creating a relationship between humans and animals by promoting kindness, awareness, and responsible care. The primary goal of the club is to support street animals by providing them with food, ensuring their survival, and fostering a more compassionate environment. Furthermore, Karuna Club emphasises the importance of educating young people about how to interact properly with street animals, helping them to understand these animals’ behaviours and needs. By raising awareness and encouraging empathy, the club aims to cultivate a community where humans and animals can live together peacefully, ensuring safety and well-being for all. Through small acts of kindness, we can truly make a significant impact.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

Being part of Karuna Club comes with its own set of challenges, such as ensuring a reliable food supply for street animals, dealing with fearful or aggressive animals, and effectively raising awareness. Tackling these challenges will help me build problem-solving skills, patience, and adaptability. I will also gain experience in safely interacting with animals and educating others about responsible coexistence, which will enhance my communication and leadership abilities. Planning and executing activities for Karuna Club demands careful organization. Whether it involves setting up feeding programs, arranging awareness campaigns, or coordinating rescue efforts, I must take the initiative and develop structured plans.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

This experience will enhance my strategic thinking, resource management, and collaboration skills, all while teaching me the importance of responsibility and taking action to make a positive difference. Caring for street animals and promoting awareness is an ongoing commitment that requires dedication. I may face challenges like limited resources, unpredictable animal behaviour, and resistance from some individuals. However, remaining committed to the cause and persistently working towards solutions will strengthen my perseverance.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

This journey will highlight the significance of long-term dedication and how consistent, small efforts can lead to meaningful change. Karuna Club thrives on teamwork to achieve its goals. Collaborating with others to organize feeding drives, awareness programs, and rescue missions will improve my ability to cooperate, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively. Working together also allows us to share ideas, learn from one another, and create a greater impact than we could individually. Through this experience, I will come to appreciate the power of teamwork in fostering a more compassionate community.
