The trip had activities like challenges, rappelling and learning out new things like rock climbing and farming. Each task took me out of my normal routine which made me push my physical limits and also learn a lot of new skills. I had to step of my comfort zone and face things that weren’t easy. Trekking was a challenge for me because i have never hiked such uneven ground. Through all of this I learned to approach challenges with an open mind and accept when things get uncomfortable and stay strong. One of the most important parts of the trip was working together as a team. Almost every task whether it was preparing for the skit or painting school walls needed everyone to pitch in and help. I learned that everyone brings something different to the table and by listening to each other we can come up with better solutions. This experience really showed me how important it is to communicate well, trust each other and cooperate in order to reach common goals. It helped me see that we all work as one we can accomplish much more than we could alone.

Throughout the trip I had to make decisions that made me think about what was the right thing to do. Whether it was figuring out how I could help the community in a meaningful way or understanding how our visit might affect the people in padamdungri. This experience helped see that when you are working with people who may not have as much it is really important to make decisions that are thoughtful and responsible.
