Recently, I participated in a sports tournament named Prestige Premier League (PPL).As I am very fond of playing cricket so I participated in PPL.There were total of 8 teams who participated in this and matches were also held between each of the group formed.Each team had to play at least of 3 matches max wins goes ahead to semi-finals and finals.During this 2 days of tournament I had developed my skills and passion with the team in the spirit of winning this tournament but unfortunately we cannot do it.
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
At this competition, I found that what I was good at in cricket like bowling and what I needed to develop was in my batting.I had to deal with difficult conditions like in bowling I had to make sure for step not going out of the crease otherwise it could go for a no ball so for that I have to make sure for the force applied to the ball on a proper length so that the ball goes towards the batsman and after going for a big hit the batsman could get out.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
Working together with my teamates I have to also take care of their decisions as well while I was playing. As mainly I do have to talk with my captain about the strategies while we were doing batting and bowling so here social skills were used and collaborative skills as well because I had to make sure that I do the same thing which my captain and my teammates wanted from me while playing the matches.I could also developed on these skills in every game of the tournament.
LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Playing this tournament got me thinking about my sportsmanship and fair game which was there in the tournament by all the 8 teams was superb.During the games I had to make tough decisions while playing the game of the rules which I had to follow in the tournament so that the tournament goes much smoother and successful without anyh hesitation. I considered how I could get better and choose wisely the following time after every game.
