As a part of my CAS, I went on a one day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls in Dang. Here I trekked for 4 hours in rainy conditions and steep inclines which tested my endurance. This was also a new experience for me as I haven’t been a part of any treks before.
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Although the trek was physically challenging and pushed me out of my comfort zone, I identified that even when I was exhausted, I was able to stay calm and positive and enjoy the journey. I am not a very active person so I also realised the need for endurance through this trek.
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
The trek was physically demanding, especially considering that the constant rain had made the path muddy and slippery, however, I managed to overcome those challenges by adapting and learning basic trekking techniques throughout the journey. After all the hardships faced and skills learnt during the trek, the view after reaching the waterfall made the whole journey worthwhile.
