I acquired new perspectives while experiencing the Jaipur literature festival, which provided me with a wealth of insights through the power of words, alongside the viewpoints from the renowned writers and speakers who addressed about a wide range of themes, concepts and global subjects. Additionally I gained valuable knowledge while taking notes during the event which I believe I could expand further by connecting my experiences and applying my own viewpoints and get a deeper understanding.

LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

Throughout the literature festival, I was able to recognise my areas of knowledge and abilities in associated with my subjects, wherein I took notes which I could utilise my life ahead. Moreover, I chose to attend the sessions that I personally found captivating which allowed me to open up and express my opinions on which sessions I desired to acquire insights from, ensuring that I could later analyse and develop my areas of growth in terms of which concepts I could take further in my intellect and apply to enhance both my professional and personal life. 

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills.

Allowing myself to prepare for the event was the primary challenge for me, hence I challenged myself to push myself outside of my comfort zone and attend the event in order to develop new skills. As a result, I was able to get along with our group in certain ways while also building my skill set through the assistance of the sessions I attended and the perspectives I acquired from those sessions, which will guide my future academic pursuits.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

Collaborating with my peers allowed our team to develop our understandings and gather exposure to additional ideas since some may not have attended a few sessions, allowing all of us to gain a variety of insights while simultaneously creating a supportive environment where we could learn from one another. Our group decided a time to reflect and discuss on the new knowledge we collected from the sessions, which enhanced our perspectives and understandings. While discussing the ideas presented in the sessions, we assisted each other retain information and widen our perspectives, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in enhancing our educational experiences. 

The Jaipur Literature Festival was an incredible opportunity that not only widened my literary horizons but also inspired me to venture outside of my comfort zone. Interacting with my peers at the reflection time expanded my awareness and enthusiasm towards the power of narrative. This experience highlighted the value of determination, collaboration, and effective communication in academic and personal development. As I reflect on this journey, I am driven to seek out comparable opportunities that will encourage me and broaden my knowledge, ensuring that I remain engaged and curious in my pursuit of learning.
