Global Odyssey 5.0

As part of the CAS experience, I organised a stall at Global Odyssey 5.0, an event hosted by Business Management and Economics students. I was responsible for the fashion category, where we sold items such as macrame keychains, phone charms, scented candles, bracelets, and claw clips. The experience involved tasks like budgeting, purchasing raw materials, creating the products, setting selling prices, and managing sales on the event day. We ensured the prices were reasonable while maintaining profit margins for each product. This process taught us valuable business strategies and tactics, along with the importance of teamwork and collaboration. It was an entirely new Experience for me, offering meaningful insights and valuable learning opportunities.

LO 3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience

The process required extensive planning, from selecting the items to be sold at the stall to ensuring they were offered at an affordable yet profitable price. This involved managing various activities, including product creation, budgeting, and overall preparation. Although we encountered challenges like time constraints and limited opportunities to collaborate outside school, we adapted effectively and completed the products successfully. Planning and initiating these activities were important for ensuring the experience was productive, efficient, and successful.

LO 5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively.

Successfully managing the stall required me to work collaboratively with my teammates, coordinating tasks such as budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales management. Each team member brought unique ideas and skills, and our collective efforts ensured the stall operated smoothly.
