This Shilpa school visit as an experience which was really emotional for me as we were introduced to students of mostly our age who were having different specialities and the school was really supportive towards them. At that point I was reflecting in my mind that I am so fortunate that I am perfectly fine, studying in such a good school and thinking that I am so privileged for all the facilities that I am getting and was thankful about them.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
In this CAS experience I was committed in doing the activities that we needed to conduct in that school which included, drawing, colouring, art and craft, dodge ball etc. I was committed in guiding the special students in colouring for about 30 minutes and I made them learn how to play Dodgeball and it took 15 minutes for them to just learn the game and then we played for 30 minutes. There we spent really good quality time with the special kids.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
This LO is very self explanatory in this experience as we were divided into groups of 4 or 5 people and we had to go to each and every student to make sure that they spend quality time and they enjoyed it a lot. We also were introduced to the kids there and we found out that certain kids were not even able to converse with others and they required a lot of attention which we made it possible because of the collaborative work we did. For example, first we made a circle for playing Dodgeball, in which 4 members of our group were there for helping them understand the game. Then we went in their classes, where I was drawing the outlines for colouring, 1 member was explaining how to play with the jodo blocks provided, and 2 were making tattoo out of 2 different paints, so there were many benefits while working collaboratively.
LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance
This trip was also revealing a global issue of quality education that was provided really well there. We met a child Tourette syndrome in which a person continuously makes sounds and she was provided with the perfect support from the staff there, however, in the world there are many children like that who don’t get the support that the teacher there gave, which was really a positive point in the school.
Evidence from the school visit:

Conclusion:-
To conclude, this trip was worth the time that we spent here and we were exposed to the special children and how small organizations like these help these children to study and get the quality education that they have right to.
