LOI 3 – Initiate and Plan a CAS Experience

During the Garba Festival at school, I, along with my friends, had the chance to run a food stall. This experience gave us a chance to contribute to the event and learn important skills in planning and working together.

We started by deciding on the type of food we wanted to sell, keeping in mind that it should be liked by both students and staff. We chose a simple menu that included snacks, desserts, and drinks, while making sure it was easy to prepare and serve. We decided to have a mix of homemade food and store-bought items, which allowed us to manage our time better.

I took responsibility for making the food on the stall like Cheese Nachos. We split the tasks: one friend did the shopping, another prepared the food, and I took care of setting up the stall, managing the budget, and promoting it during the event. I also made a clear mind for setting up and cleaning up after the event. We made sure to have backup plans in case there were any problems, like running out of food.

Strong teamwork and good communication were key to making the event run smoothly, and I made sure we kept checking in with each other to make sure everything was on track.

LO4 – Show Perseverance and Commitment in CAS Experience

Throughout this experience, I learned how important perseverance and commitment are. We had to balance our schoolwork with the preparation for the food stall, which required a lot of effort and careful planning.

On the event day, things got busy. We had a lot of customers to serve and had to make sure we didn’t run out of food too soon. I stayed calm and focused, organizing the team to handle the crowd and restock food when needed.

I also learned the value of sticking with the task, even when things got tough. For example, waking up early to prepare the food or staying late to clean up. All the hard work paid off when we saw the positive reactions from the people who came to our stall. It taught me that being dedicated and staying focused helps make any event successful.

I also marketed our food stall to some of our teachers which came from my marketing and reference, after when they ate at our food stall they loved the taste and the service which we provided.

LO5 – Demonstrate Skills and Benefits of Working Collaboratively

Running the food stall showed me how important teamwork is. We worked together to make the event successful by sharing the tasks. Each of us brought something different to the table, whether it was preparing food, handling the money, or making sure the stall was set up well.

By dividing the work, we were able to keep things running smoothly. This experience also helped us improve our communication and problem-solving skills. When challenges came up, we were able to work together and find solutions quickly. It made me realize how much more successful an event can be when everyone works together and shares the responsibility.

In conclusion, running the food stall was a fun and valuable experience. I learned a lot about teamwork, managing time, and solving problems. The event showed me how important commitment and collaboration are when working towards a goal.
