I participated in the recent in the cross country run organized by my school where I ran 3 long runs of 3Kms. It allowed me to test and stretch my physical limits.

Learning Outcome-1 Identifying own strengths and weakness
- I was very excited to participate in my first ever cross country race. I always considered my self fairly athletic but I quickly realised that cross country races were a whole new level. I reached the finish line all exhausted and gasping. Through the race i realised that my only strength that helped me finish the race was my determination, but i also recognised my weakness, the lack of consistent training.

Learning Outcome-2 Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in progress
The second race also got me challenged as the dirt road was full of sharp turns, dips, highly uneven roads and sharp turns. But instead of giving up by the challenging track, I focused on adaptation to the track. I paid more attention to my foot placement and breathing technique, learning to navigate through the rigorous course. By the end of the race i learned how to adapt my running and breathing techniques according to the terrain and the track.

Learning Outcome 4- Show commitment and perseverance in the CAS experience
all the three races challenged me to my physical limits. I was exhausted every time before eve reaching the finish line. The only thing that kept me together to finish the races was my will power and determination set towards completing my goal of extending my physical capabilities. This also reinforced the importance of perseverance, not only in cross country but all the aspects of my life.
