Global Odyssey was an exciting event that integrated Business Management and Economics with elements of fun, food, and music.As a member of the decor team, I was responsible for designing and setting up the visual aesthetics of the event, ensuring an engaging and lively atmosphere. This experience allowed me to develop my creativity and planning skills , demonstrate commitment and perseverance , and collaborate effectively with my team .

LO3- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

As I Managed the decor it required me to think of creative yet practical ideas. The whole ambience had to merge the professionalism of business and economics while providing a very fun and festive experience for the attending guests. I researched themes, worked on color schemes, and created layouts that would bring an event alive. Using all possible resources efficiently within budget helped me think outside the box and innovate with the available materials. After a lot of research and work we came up with the theme pink lemonade with colour combination of pink and yellow to bring colourful yet vibrant vibe to the event.

LO4 –  Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

setting up this decor was not an easy job. All these demanded quite a lot of patience, sharp observations, and physical strength. Painting individual banner, arranging props and checking that everything was alright before the starting of an event- such string of things never made me less submissive. There were few last-minute changes, lack of time, and many unexpected hurdles, but this perseverance made me stay and complete my duties in an effective way.

LO5 – Demonstrate the skills and the benefits of working collaboratively.

Working with a team was essential for the success of the event. Coordinating with others in the decor team and aligning our efforts with logistics and event organizers taught me the importance of clear communication and cooperation. Delegating tasks and helping teammates when needed ensured that everything was completed on time.

Conclusion

Global Odyssey was a fantastic experience that combined different elements of creativity, planning, and teamwork. It taught me that although different skills can be valuable on their own, it is in their combination that they make for an engaging event. The concept of combining Business with Economics and Entertainment made it so special, and being a part of this decor team meant giving my best in making this initiative successful. This experience adds great value to my overall CAS journey.
