Kalakriti was a grand celebration of artistic talent, bringing together students from various schools across the city to showcase their creativity in different art forms in a competitive format. My role in the event was focused on logistical organization, including taking attendance, marking judges’ scores, and ensuring smooth event coordination.
The goal was to keep everything in order for a fast and changing event while providing fair marks and smooth action of activities. By controlling such important functions, I helped form an organized and professional setting and assisted in giving a formal touch to the event.

Learning Outcomes
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills:
Coordinating logistics for a big event had its own set of hassles—providing proper attendance, coordinating score sheets within timelines, and resolving last-minute problems. I learned organizational skills and the ability to make instant decisions. It was difficult to keep track of several simultaneous events, but it helped me remain collected under pressure and to efficiently prioritize tasks.
LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance:
Kalakriti highlighted the importance of art in cultural expression and global understanding. Seeing students from diverse backgrounds come together to share their creativity. It made me realize how platforms like these nurture young talent, preserve traditions, and promote inclusivity in the arts.
LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions:
As I handled scores and attendance, I had to ensure fairness and integrity in the competition as well as keep up with the judges. This responsibility of maintaining accurate records and ensuring that every participant was judged impartially made me more conscious of how small ethical decisions impact a larger system. Upholding transparency and honesty in event management was crucial, as even minor errors could have affected the outcomes for participants.

Key Takeaways
Kalakriti was more than just an event—it was a opportunity in accountability, and the power of art to bring people together. The experience deepened my appreciation for the role of art in shaping communities and inspiring creativity. It reminded me that while artists take center stage, the people working behind the scenes play an equally important role in making events like these possible and function effectively. These events not only gave rise to the cultural importance but also for people to be introduced to various art forms.
