The school had organized an event inculcating the knowledge of economics and business management. This event consists of food, fun and decor activities and I was a part of the food category. I had to put up a stall and sell food. This event helped me understand how the real world market works and how businesses in the market fluctuate prices according to the demand. This event was a good opportunity for me to relate the concepts that I have learned through both the subjects.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills: Putting up a stall and understanding how the event will flow was a big challenge for me. As it was my first time doing an event like this, I developed new skills and understood certain things about how demand and supply actually works in real life. I even learned how to make certain food items, present the same and attract the audience to buy the food items.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively: As I was working in a group, I developed social and collaborative skills. Along with my other two team mates, I achieved the skills to work efficiently in a group, we as a team discussed each other’s strengths and held confidence in each other which made us earn good profits.
