Farewell ’25 : Activity!

Being a part of Farewell as the Decor Incharge working under the Core Team, hosting, performing in the band and being a member of the dance team was an incredibly fulfilling experience. From deciding the theme to engaging the audience on stage and performing with my team, this event allowed me to blend creativity with leadership and teamwork. Each role came with its challenges, but the sense of accomplishment at the end made it all worthwhile.

LO3: Demonstrate How to Initiate and Plan a CAS Experience

As the Decor Incharge, I was responsible for bringing the event’s theme to life through creative designs and decorations. This required early planning, material sourcing, and coordinating with different teams to ensure everything was executed smoothly. Working under the core team, I learned how to balance creative ideas with logistical feasibility, ensuring that the venue looked visually stunning while staying within constraints like time and resources.

Additionally, preparing for my role as the event host required extensive planning. From drafting scripts to rehearsing transitions, I had to ensure the program flowed seamlessly while keeping the audience engaged. This experience taught me the importance of structured planning and adaptability, especially when handling unexpected changes on stage.

LO4: Show Commitment to and Perseverance in CAS Experiences

Juggling decor responsibilities, hosting, and dance rehearsals required dedication and time management. Long hours went into setting up the venue, perfecting my stage presence, and practicing the dance routine with my team. There were moments of exhaustion, especially when last-minute changes required quick adjustments, but I remained committed to each responsibility.

Hosting a major event also required confidence and the ability to engage a crowd effectively. Despite the pressure of being in the spotlight, I pushed myself to deliver an energetic and engaging performance, ensuring the event was memorable for everyone.

LO5: Demonstrate the Skills and Recognize the Benefits of Working Collaboratively

Collaboration was essential in every aspect of Farewell. As Decor Incharge, I worked closely with my team to bring ideas to life, ensuring that every element aligned with the theme. Hosting required me to coordinate with fellow speakers, performers, and technical teams to ensure smooth transitions and seamless execution.

Being part of the dance team further reinforced the power of teamwork. Perfecting our performance required synchronization, mutual understanding, and trust in each other’s abilities. Every role I took on for Farewell highlighted the importance of clear communication, shared responsibilities, and collective effort, making the event a true team success.

Farewell was not just about celebrating the graduating batch—it was a learning experience that allowed me to grow in leadership, adaptability, and collaboration. The hard work put in by every individual made the event unforgettable, and I am grateful to have been a part of it in so many meaningful ways.
