LO 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

At the beginning, it was quite hard for me to take long and complicated debates and turn them into short, clear, and interesting reports. The speakers talked fast, and there were many details to follow, so I had to figure out which points were the most important without making mistakes. With every session, I got better at listening carefully, taking quick notes, and rewriting information in my own words. These skills helped me write reports that were easier to understand and more accurate. This challenge taught me how to handle information better and work more confidently as a reporter.

LO 3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

As part of the International Press, I had to plan how to cover multiple committees in a limited time. This required me to set a reporting schedule, coordinate with other reporters, and decide which debates deserved priority coverage. This planning ensured that all committees received equal attention.

LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Working with the International Press team was very important because we all depended on each other to finish the work on time. We divided the tasks, helped each other when someone was stuck, and checked each other’s articles to make them better. After writing our reports, we combined everything to create the final newsletter. Working together made the whole process faster and smoother, and it also helped us keep the quality of our work high. This experience showed me how teamwork can make difficult tasks easier and how supporting each other helps us meet deadlines without stress.

LO 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Through reporting on the debates, I learned about many important global issues such as human rights problems, climate change, and international conflicts. Hearing different delegates speak showed me how countries have their own viewpoints and solutions. Listening to these discussions helped me understand global problems more clearly and made me realize how complex these issues are. It also taught me how important it is for countries to work together to solve worldwide challenges.
