Bal Mela – [Service]

At the Bal mela, my role was to teach and assist children to make paper monster face masks. I helped them paint it, stick accessories on it and more. For me it was a very fun experience to share my skills with children and see them enjoy what got them to do.

Keeping the children engaged during the Bal Mela was challenging as they often got distracted. I adapted by using interactive methods, gestures, and a playful tone. Through this, I developed patience, stronger communication, and leadership skills, learning how to manage a group effectively while making the activity enjoyable for them.

For the Bal Mela, I planned the mask-making activity in advance by gathering materials and designing easy steps for the children. This preparation helped the session run smoothly and kept the kids engaged. I learned that careful organization and foresight make activities more effective and enjoyable for participants.

Even when the children got distracted or made mistakes, I stayed patient and continued guiding them until everyone completed their masks. My commitment and perseverance ensured the activity ended positively. This experience taught me that dedication and consistency are vital when working with others, especially young learners.

The Bal Mela activity highlighted the global issue of education and child development. I realized how creative learning can inspire curiosity and imagination in children while nurturing problem-solving skills. Teaching them mask-making showed me the impact of experiential learning and reinforced the importance of accessible, engaging education for young minds.
