Location: Ahwa, Dang District, Gujarat

Experience Overview:
Going on a one-day trekking trip to Ahwa was a physically demanding yet mentally refreshing experience. The trek, through the dense forests and hilly terrains of the Dang region, tested my stamina and determination. The scenic surroundings offered moments of reflection and a break from routine, while the steep ascents and rugged paths pushed me to challenge myself physically and mentally.

Learning Outcomes Achieved:

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
The trek made me realize that I possess strong determination and resilience when it comes to physical endurance. However, it also highlighted areas where I need growth, such as better pace management and hydration planning during physically strenuous activities.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
The steep climbs and uneven paths were unlike anything I had experienced before. Navigating these obstacles taught me better balance and situational awareness. I also learned basic trekking techniques like pacing, foot placement, and energy conservation, which were essential to completing the trail safely.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Despite moments of exhaustion and physical discomfort, I remained committed to completing the trek. I pushed through the fatigue, stayed positive, and encouraged others along the way. This showed my ability to persevere through tough situations and remain focused on the goal.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Trekking in a group required communication, cooperation, and looking out for one another. Whether it was sharing water, helping someone across a difficult section, or motivating each other, the sense of teamwork played a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
