Pi(?) day (creativity)

Participating in Pi Day, I engaged in a creative and scientific project building 2 gliders to explain basic aerodynamics and how gliders are able to cover large distances without the use of any kind of propulsion.

LO3 (Initiate and plan a CAS experience)

To have a proper and smooth stall for Pi day I had to plan everything out from the starting, making sure I am able to not just effectively communicate with them but also I am able to engage them in the presentation and provide them with some hands-on experience or activity to keep it as engaging as possible. To accomplish this I had to come up with some kind of challenge. I decided to ask people who come to my stall to make a paper plane with A4 sheets and try to throw it as far as possible. After that compare that distance with the distance the model glider can cover. Through this I wanted to teach them how gliders maximize aerodynamics principle to make the flight as long as possible compared to paper airplanes.

LO4 (Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience)

Since this was a collaborative project, ensuring timely project completion was necessary. There was a communication gap between me and the other people on the project, which led to time management issues and i thought it would result in potential incompletion of the project. Despite these setbacks, i i had to remain committed to the project and do early-ins in order to complete the project
