As part of my CAS Creativity strand, I actively participate in my school’s Law Club. This experience has allowed me to engage creatively with real-world legal concepts through interactive activities such as case-solving, investigations, and mock jury trials. This is the evidence of my attendance and that I Attended the suites and statutes throughout the year.

During Law Club sessions, we are given fictional or real-life inspired cases that require us to analyze evidence, identify inconsistencies, and apply logical reasoning to reach a conclusion. One of the most engaging activities is participating in a mini jury, where students take on roles such as jurors, lawyers, or investigators. This requires creativity in constructing arguments, interpreting evidence from different perspectives, and presenting opinions clearly and persuasively.
Through these activities, I have developed my creative thinking by learning that legal problems rarely have only one correct answer. Each case encouraged me to think beyond obvious conclusions and consider multiple interpretations of the same evidence. This strengthened my ability to think critically while also using imagination to build convincing narratives and arguments.
This experience also helped me collaborate effectively with others, as jury discussions require listening to different viewpoints and justifying my own ideas respectfully. I became more confident in expressing my thoughts and adapting my reasoning based on new information shared by my peers.
Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment and perseverance in CAS experiences
My participation in Law Club demonstrates commitment and perseverance, as I consistently attended sessions and actively engaged in complex case-solving activities. Legal investigations often required sustained focus, detailed analysis, and multiple discussions before reaching a verdict. At times, cases were challenging and required me to reassess my initial assumptions, but I persevered by continuing to analyze evidence and contribute to jury discussions. This ongoing involvement helped me strengthen my problem-solving skills and showed my dedication to the CAS Creativity experience.
Learning Outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Law Club strongly emphasized collaboration, particularly during mini jury simulations and group investigations. Working with my peers allowed me to hear diverse perspectives, challenge my own reasoning, and refine my arguments. Through respectful debate and teamwork, I learned how effective collaboration leads to more balanced and well-reasoned conclusions. This experience highlighted the importance of communication, active listening, and compromise, and showed me how collaborative skills are essential in both legal settings and real-life situations.
Overall, Law Club has been a valuable CAS Creativity experience as it combines problem-solving, discussion, and imagination. It has deepened my interest in law while helping me develop essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, and creative reasoning, all of which will be useful in both academic and real-life situations.
