HDP PS

What the experience was:
In this CAS experience, I was actively involved in the PS classes conducted by the school, these sessions helped me to improve on my game, I participated in regular football training sessions 2–3 times a week over an extended period. Each session combined warm-ups, technical drills, tactical exercises, and short matches intended to enhance both individual and team performance. Through repetitive practice, coach feedback, and active collaboration with teammates, I improved key skills such as dribbling, passing accuracy, defensive positioning, and game awareness. The experience also developed my physical endurance, discipline, and ability to remain focused under pressure. As sessions progressed, I found myself more confident, more coordinated, and increasingly aware of my role within a larger team structure.

Connection to Sustainable Development Goal:
This experience relates to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, as participating in regular physical activity contributes to a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, and mental well-being while promoting teamwork and discipline.

Connection to Learning Outcomes:

LO1: Through consistent engagement in football training, I was able to clearly identify both my strengths and the areas where I needed further development. I realized that I excelled in speed, stamina, and maintaining possession under pressure, which gave me confidence during matches. However, I also recognized weaknesses such as inconsistent shooting accuracy, limited tactical awareness, and delayed decision-making during fast-paced plays. With feedback from my coach and peers, I set specific goals like improving my first touch and refining my positioning. This self-awareness helped me approach each training session with purpose and allowed me to monitor my improvement over time.

LO2: Football constantly challenged me, especially when learning advanced drills or adapting to unfamiliar playing formations. Initially, some exercises felt overwhelming, particularly those requiring coordination, quick transitions, or precise timing. However, instead of avoiding these challenges, I pushed myself to practise consistently, even outside training hours. This process strengthened my resilience and patience, as improvement often came slowly. I also experimented with new positions on the field, forcing me to rethink my strategy and communication skills. By stepping out of my comfort zone, I developed new technical abilities, greater mental discipline, and a more adaptable approach to team based activities.

LO4: My participation in football training required consistent commitment, especially as it occurred multiple times each week alongside academic responsibilities. There were days when I felt tired, stressed, or unmotivated, yet I continued attending sessions because I understood that improvement demanded regular effort. Over time, this routine strengthened my perseverance and time-management skills, as I learned to balance schoolwork and sports efficiently. I also demonstrated dedication by staying after practice to work on weak areas, helping teammates during drills, and maintaining a positive attitude even when progress felt slow. This sustained involvement reflected my genuine motivation to grow as both a player and a teammate.
