Participating in the Khelmahakumbh football tournament was one of the most memorable experiences of my CAS journey. Representing my school team, I played as part of the main squad in the inter-district competition. Our team performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament, ultimately winning the finals with an incredible score of 6–0.
Learning Outcome 1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Throughout the tournament, I was able to recognize both my strengths and weaknesses as a player. My biggest strength was my ability to maintain focus under pressure and make quick decisions during intense moments. However, I realized I needed to work more on improving my passing accuracy and stamina during long matches. Reflecting on this helped me set new personal goals for future games and training sessions.
Learning Outcome 2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
The competition was physically and mentally challenging, especially as we advanced to higher rounds where the opponents were much stronger and faster. To overcome these challenges, I had to push my limits in endurance, coordination, and strategic play. I developed better communication on the field and learned to anticipate my teammates’ movements, which strengthened our overall gameplay. This experience not only enhanced my football skills but also taught me resilience and adaptability.
Learning Outcome 4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
From early morning practices to maintaining team discipline, this tournament required consistent dedication. Even when matches got tough, our team stayed motivated and committed to our goal of winning. Personally, I made sure to attend every practice session, stay physically fit, and support my teammates no matter the circumstances. The 6–0 victory in the finals was the result of our continuous effort, hard work, and never-give-up attitude.
Learning Outcome 5 – Demonstrate skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Football is a team sport that thrives on coordination and unity. Working collaboratively was key to our success. We learned to trust each other’s abilities, communicate effectively during matches, and maintain a positive attitude even in moments of tension. Every goal we scored reflected not just individual skill but team effort. This experience made me appreciate the importance of teamwork and collective spirit in achieving shared success.
Reflection:
Winning the Khelmahakumbh finals was not just about the score—it was about growth, discipline, and teamwork. The journey taught me how perseverance and collaboration can turn challenges into achievements. It was a proud moment to see all our hard work pay off, and it inspired me to continue improving both as an athlete and as a team player.
