Anand Utsav was an event organised by the volunteers of grade 11, where multiple games and activities were organised for the support staff of the school. It allowed the students to bond with the school’s support staff and also show them the gratitude they deserve.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience
Taking the initiative to plan Anand Utsav involved collaborating with my peers to brainstorm the activities, divide responsibilities, and manage resources. The process required strong organisational skills and proactive decision-making to make sure that the event was enjoyable and meaningful for the support staff.
LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
This event highlighted the importance of teamwork since every student contributed their ideas, skills, and time, which helped the event turn out successfully. Working collaboratively allowed us to share responsibilities, overcome challenges, and ensure that every aspect of the event ran smoothly.
LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance
Organising this event allowed me to get engaged with the global issue of equity and inclusivity, ensuring that the support staff felt recognized and valued. It is really important for us to give gratitude and respect to those who have made our school journey a lot easier.
LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
The event encouraged us to reflect on the ethical importance of acknowledging people whose work often remains invisible. By consciously choosing to dedicate time and resources to appreciate the support staff, we recognized the moral responsibility we have toward fairness, respect, and inclusivity within our community.
Anand Utsav was more than just an event; it was an enriching CAS experience that allowed us to step out of our daily routines and connect meaningfully with members of our school community who often remain in the background. It not only strengthened our sense of gratitude but also deepened our understanding of equity, respect, and collaborative effort. This experience taught us that small acts of recognition can create a significant impact, making the world a more inclusive and compassionate place.
