One Day Trek (activity)

I went for a one-day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls in Ahwa during the monsoon season. The place was beautiful but the rain made the trek more difficult. The trail was muddy and quite slippery, especially when we were descending.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

During the trek, I realized that one of my strengths was being able to stay balanced on the wet paths, which helped me complete the trek safely. This might be because I have trekked in the past as well which helped me complete this trek with ease.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

The trek itself was a bit of a challenge because of the rain and the slippery ground. I had to adapt to the weather by walking more carefully and paying close attention to where I stepped. I also had to be more patience because rushing would have only increased the risk of falling. These were a few useful skills that I learned through the trek.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

The trek was tiring at times while walking on the slippery slopes, but I continued until the end with the group. I stayed focused on completing the trek. This experience showed me the importance of effort and paying attention to safety when the conditions are not ideal.
