I participated in a four-day rock climbing activity organized at school, with sessions held for one hour each morning. The experience challenged me physically and mentally, helping me build strength, endurance, and focus. Each day, I learned to trust my abilities and face my fears while climbing. The activity also encouraged teamwork, as we supported and motivated each other to reach the top. It was an opportunity to practice perseverance, patience, and problem-solving in a real-world setting. By the end of the four days, I felt more confident and resilient. Overall, the experience was both enjoyable and enriching, contributing to my personal growth
LO1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
During my CAS experiences, I was able to reflect on my personal strengths and areas that needed improvement. I realized that I am confident in taking initiative and leading activities. At the same time, I recognized that I need to work on my time management and patience in certain tasks. Engaging in group projects helped me see how I respond under pressure and how I communicate with others. I learned to celebrate my successes while also accepting constructive feedback. Each challenge I faced pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and develop new skills. Overall, these reflections have helped me grow both personally and socially.
LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
Throughout my CAS experiences, I took on several challenges that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Participating in activities like required me to try new things and learn quickly. I developed skills such as problem-solving, resilience, and effective communication while facing these challenges. At times, tasks felt difficult or intimidating, but persisting helped me grow and gain confidence. I also learned to adapt to unexpected situations and find creative solutions. Each challenge provided an opportunity to practice patience, teamwork, and leadership. Overall, these experiences allowed me to develop new skills and discover my potential.
LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.
During my CAS experiences, I learned the true value of perseverance and commitment. Even when tasks were challenging, I stayed dedicated to achieving my goals. Activities like, rock climbing, plantain drive and etc.. often pushed me out of my comfort zone. There were times when progress felt slow, but I reminded myself to stay focused and keep trying. I developed the habit of planning carefully and practicing consistently to improve my performance. Showing up regularly and putting in effort, even on difficult days, taught me discipline. I also learned to handle setbacks with patience and resilience. My commitment helped me achieve meaningful outcomes and see the results of hard work. This experience strengthened both my skills and my confidence. Overall, I realised that perseverance is essential for personal growth and success.
