One Day Trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, Dang (Activity)

On 25th of July 2025, we went on a one day trek to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls, located in the region of Dang. The experience consisted of a 4 hour trek to the waterfall which involved steep declines and muddy pathways that tested our endurance and balance.

Learning Outcome 1: Identify Strengths and Develop Areas for Growth

The 4-hour hike to Bhavar Kada Waterfalls tested me physically and mentally. Struggling through inclined declines and muddy trails, I realized my strengths were the ability to remain focused and calm in unpredictable, slippery environments. I also realized that I could motivate and inspire others, helping teammates get over their fear and balance. Concurrently, the trek exposed areas I need to work on. I was getting more fatigued than anticipated during the steeper climbs, and I recognized that my leg strength and stamina would be improved if I made training a regular part of my program. This experience allowed me to assess how I react to physical hardship and how I can develop by adding more endurance-related activities to my training schedule.

Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been taken, Developing new skills in the process

This hike was not a typical stroll instead it was a test that demanded persistence, flexibility, and cooperation. The muddy paths usually made the path slippery, while going down steep hills required me to learn and practice introductory trekking skills in the moment. I needed to judge continuously where to place my feet, how to balance, and how to hold myself on using natural holds such as rocks or branches. Besides, I learned soft skills like situational awareness, teamwork, and resilience. Notwithstanding minor falls and bodily fatigue, I persevered without quitting, which made it even more rewarding to reach the waterfall. Such experiences taught me how to stretch my own limits and deal with discomfort with a learning attitude.
