I concentrated on playing football in school for the last year. I wanted to improve and remain fit since I played football for years. I trained and used to practice for many hours a week. Through this, I improved my football playing skills and remained fit.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

In the beginning of this year, I realized that agility and quickness were my strengths. I was aware that I needed to improve my technical capabilities, particularly passing and control. During the first half-year, we practiced in a limited area where passing, fitness, and small games were done. I specifically focused on improving my control and accuracy and practiced drills that would be most appropriate for me. I observed improvement step by step, which boosted my confidence.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

This was not an easy experience. I used to question myself sometimes, particularly when I was mastering new skills such as dribbling under pressure. Despite that, the challenges inspired me to want to do better. We began playing games after six months of training. Playing against various opponents helped me get used to the game quickly and think strategically.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

Physical and mental training sessions were challenging, but I wasdetermined to improve. Overcoming challenges like injuries and losses, I was able to be resilient. Allocating time for studies and football required discipline and planning. Believing in the other players and supporting one another made us a strong team. Overcoming challenges, we became stronger and successful. I have learneddiscipline, team work, and resilience through this experience, reminding me that commitment is the key to success. I am looking forward to what the future holds.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Football is a team sport, and from this experience, I learned howimportant teamwork was. Every practice and game needed goodcommunication and trust among team members. I was attentive inhelping others, providing positive feedback and encouragement. Fromthe teamwork, we played better, and our team became more united. I learned that we can do more as a team than we could alone.

In conclusion I’ve learned  many things throughout the year in  football. I’ve found out what I’m truly capable of, learned how to deal with problems, and trained. Most importantly, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork and cooperation. As I play on and develop further, I won’t forget these things, aware that they will help me in countless other aspects of my life. This CAS experience has allowed me to become a better footballer and a better person.
