FS Got Talent- Creativity

FS Got talent is an event that helps celebrate the diverse talents in our school, from singing to dancing. As a part of the organising committee, specifically the decor team, my role was to make the visual set up. Along with that, my role was also to make more students aware of this event through different awareness strategies like a flash mob. From brainstorming creative themes, to coordinating with team members, this event has been a meaningful learning experience.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process:

There were several challenges that we faced during our process of FS Got talent. One of the major challenge that I faced was adapting to changes. There were situations where things didn’t go as planned, and I had to think on my feet to find unique solutions. Furthermore, I learned new skills such as creating detailed decorations, paying attention to the smallest details. Additionally, I became more proficient at managing materials efficiently, making the most out of the resources available to us. These skills not only contributed to the success of FS Got Talent but also taught me the importance of flexibility, resourcefulness, and perseverance when working on a team project.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively:

Collaboration played an integral role in making FS Got Talent a success. The organising team was made up of more than 20 members, and their contributions helped in making this event special. Adding on, I learned the importance of communication, active listening and carrying an open mindset, which are a few skills that helped in my personal growth. The teamwork made the whole process not just productive but also enjoyable.

LO4- Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

Being part of the FS Got Talent organizing team wasn’t always smooth —it took real dedication to see everything through. There were times when things didn’t go as planned, like last-minute venue changes or running out of materials for decorations. It was frustrating, but instead of giving up, I pushed through, by finding creative solutions and making things work. Balancing this with academics was tough, but I learned to manage my time better and stay committed to my role. No matter how tiring it got, seeing the final setup come together and the audience enjoying the event made it all worth it. This experience really showed me that perseverance pays off, and when you stick with something despite the challenges, the outcome is always more rewarding.
