LOR 3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience
Being in the decor team meant actively participating in planning and setting up the event’s look. I helped with brainstorming themes, arranging decorations, and making necessary adjustments to ensure everything aligned with the theme of Global Odyssey 5.0. The process involved quick decision-making and adapting to changes, which helped develop my problem-solving skills. There were times when last-minute modifications were needed, and working through them with the team reinforced the importance of collaboration and flexibility.
LOR 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
tting up the decor came with time constraints, last-minute changes, and unexpected challenges. I had to adjust decorations quickly, make necessary modifications, and assist in ensuring the setup was completed on time. There were instances where materials didn’t arrive as expected, requiring us to find alternatives on short notice. Some elements didn’t fit as planned, which meant constant repositioning and creative problem-solving. The setup process was a cycle of trial and error, testing different placements and making on-the-spot decisions to align with the event’s theme. Coordination with the team was crucial, as every adjustment impacted the overall look. The final setup reflected all the modifications and quick decisions made along the way, showing how adaptability played a key role in bringing the theme to life.
