Experience and Aim
Being part of the organizing committee for Garba Fest, provided a valuable opportunity to develop major skills in event management and teamwork. My role focused on decoration and event management, where I worked on preparing a lively and welcome environment. The process included considering the subjects of decorations, managing logistic challenges and overseeing the setup to ensure smooth execution, making every step learning experience. This journey helped me tap in my creativity, strengthen my ability to work in a team and lead to the managing phenomenon.
Learning results and reflections
LO 1: Identify your own strength and develop areas for development
This experience provided an opportunity to reflect my strength, especially in problems-solutions and important thinking, which were required for sudden challenges such as feeling errors in calculating for a quality of resources or decorations . I remember for a part of the decoration, we were going to hang glass bottles, however, we realized the last day that the glass bottles were too heavy to hang the overhead. Another example was that our original plan for overhead drapes was to be completely scraped due to flaws in the drape and all of them had completely different shapes. Additionally, I recognized areas for development, especially in effective work delegation and time management under pressure. By the end of the incident, I had learned to rely on the abilities of my team members, recognizing that shared responsibilities lead to more efficiency and more harmonious phenomenon.
LO 4: Show commitment and perseverance in cass experiences
An incident of this magnitude requires unwavering dedication and flexibility. During the procedure, I faced many obstacles, including tight deadlines, logical obstacles and unexpected ultimate-subtle modifications. However, I remained stable in my commitment, ensuring that every detail was carefully planned and executed. Our team reached school every day for about two months to fulfill the academic responsibilities and efficiently. Long -term and collective efforts were really valid by enthusiasm and energy which were radiated from the participants during the event.

LO 5: Perform skills and identify the benefits of working collaboratively
Garba Fest was a naturally collaborative effort, which strengthened the importance of effective communication and teamwork. From the initial planning stages to the final execution, there are sometimes challenges navigating different approaches and ideas, but I learned the importance of open mind and adaptability. By incorporating diverse contributions, we successfully created an experience that resonated with everyone. This experience underlined the importance of collective efforts in bringing a common vision.
