Cross Country- Activity

I participated in Cross Country as my CAS activity. It was a small marathon behind our school which is around of 5kms, we had to run for three times for counting it as our cas activity. During this activity I understood the importance for the good health and well-being and
allowed me to test my physical and mental wellbeing. for the stamina needed in this event while running.

LO1: Identify your own strengths and develop area for personal growth
I participated in the event cross country allowed my strengths and area for the personal growth. I understood that I had a average level of stamina, from which I could maintain a normal speed but however I lacked in proper training for such long distance run. During the run I could maintain a normal speed which helped me to finish the run in shortest time as possible. After the run, I understood that there were some areas where I could improve my performance that includes improving my agility, stamina and the technique for the finishing the run in more efficient time.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the Process
Completing the cross country run was an very big achievement for me as it showed my strengths and the challenges during the event. Secondly running for such long distances during the sunny days was very exhausting and challenging but I still managed to complete the race and finish the run on a good position amongst the other competitors. I also improved stamina and technique throughout the three races. Proper planning can allow me to complete the race in the lowest possible time with using my maximum potential. Proper technique helped me to finish the race in a efficient time.

LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
During my Cross Country CAS activity, which involved running a small marathon of approximately 5 kilometers three times, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of good health and well-being. This experience allowed me to push my physical and mental limits, testing my stamina and endurance. As I navigated the challenges of the race, I also reflected on the ethical implications of my choices, such as balancing my training with other responsibilities.

To conclude, I was able to evaluate my performance and identify my personal areas of strength and growth by taking part in this cross-country run. It inspired me to keep pushing myself and developing both mentally and physically.
