I have always had an affinity for hosting. There is something so fascinating about being able to conduct an event and allow the audience an opportunity to appreciate the perseverance of all participants. Being able to interact with the spectators and turn the event into an experience is an initiative I was always willing to partake in, which is why when the prospect of hosting FS Got Talent arose, I confirmed my involvement without a second thought.
Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills

Writing a script was by no means an easy task, especially when routine changes to the flow/participants meant that I had to revise and rewrite most segments. Creativity supervised the script-writing process as I pondered upon different ways to say the same two lines: “Wow, what a performance! Now, please welcome the next performer with a huge round of applause”. I wanted to converse with the audience, not dictate, which meant redundancy had to be avoided at all costs. Subsequently, on the D-day, I found myself in challenging situations such as participants not showing up, extenuating circumstances altering the prescribed flow, and more, which required instant adaptation and quick-thinking without hinting even the slightest presence of fault to the audience.
Learning Outcome 4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience.

While the entire event lasted for 2 hours, it was preceded by days of writing the script, revising it, and subsequently doing a tête-a-tête with the teacher in-charge to accommodate amendments. As someone who aspires to be an exemplary team member, I volunteered to aid the decor team with their last minute preparations as well, thoroughly showcasing my commitment to making Season 3 of FS Got Talent a success!
Overall, FS Got Talent was an invigorating experience and I am glad I chose it as a CAS experience.
