Anand Utsav – service

Anand Utsav was a heartwarming experience where we celebrated and appreciated the school support staff for their dedication and hard work. The event was designed to provide them with a day filled with fun, laughter, and entertainment through various activities. My role was to organize and conduct interactive games, including a guess-the-song challenge, ensuring that the participants had an enjoyable and engaging time. This CAS service experience was not just about entertainment but also about recognizing the importance of gratitude, ethical responsibility, and teamwork.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience

Organizing Anand Utsav required careful planning, coordination, and patience to ensure that all activities ran smoothly. Engaging a diverse group of participants meant adapting games based on their interests and comfort levels. Despite minor challenges in keeping the energy levels high throughout the event, our team remained committed to making the celebration special, ensuring everyone felt valued and included.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively

The success of Anand Utsav was built on teamwork and collaboration. Each group was responsible for different activities, and we worked together to ensure seamless execution. My team and I divided responsibilities, coordinated schedules, and encouraged participation. This experience reinforced the importance of effective communication, shared leadership, and mutual respect, making the event enjoyable for both the staff and volunteers.

LO6 – Engagement with issues of global significance.

Anand Utsav highlighted the importance of appreciating the contributions of essential workers—a global issue often overlooked. Support staff play a vital role in keeping institutions functioning, yet they often do not receive the recognition they deserve. By organizing this event, we actively engaged in promoting inclusivity, respect, and social well-being, contributing to a more empathetic school environment.

LO7 – Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions

The event emphasized the ethical responsibility of acknowledging and valuing every individual’s contributions. Treating the support staff with respect, kindness, and gratitude was a reminder of the moral obligation we have towards those who serve our communities daily. Anand Utsav was not just about providing entertainment—it was about building a culture of appreciation, dignity, and ethical leadership.

Anand Utsav was a deeply rewarding CAS service experience that reinforced the values of commitment, collaboration, global awareness, and ethical responsibility. It allowed me to step outside my routine, engage in meaningful service, and witness the joy that small gestures of gratitude can bring. This event served as a powerful reminder that true leadership lies in uplifting others and fostering an environment of respect and appreciation.
