Batch of 2025 last day planning -Project

Being part of the core team for planning the last day of our seniors was an experience I was genuinely excited for. I wanted to make their farewell as memorable and special as possible, honoring their journey and leaving them with meaningful memories. This project allowed me to combine creativity, responsibility, and collaboration, while also learning to balance challenges like deadlines, school restrictions, and other academic commitments.

LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

In planning the farewell, I actively contributed ideas and participated in discussions with my team on how the day should unfold. I suggested activities and themes that would make the day enjoyable and memorable, such as karaoke, shirt-signing, and spray painting on school walls. I helped create clear outlines of tasks, including decoration planning and scheduling activities, ensuring that everything fit within our timeline. I also utilised my art skills to design and execute decorations, and assisted team members who struggled with certain creative tasks. One of the key challenges was keeping school restrictions in mind while still designing fun and engaging activities. By anticipating potential issues and finding practical solutions, I learned how to plan a CAS experience thoughtfully and effectively.

LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

Executing the farewell required consistent effort over several weeks. Balancing early mornings at school to finish decorations, late nights working on assignments, and other academic responsibilities was challenging. There were times when it felt overwhelming, but I demonstrated perseverance by using my free periods efficiently, staying committed to completing my tasks, and helping my team members when needed. This experience strengthened my sense of responsibility and resilience, as I learned to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on the goal of making the day memorable for our seniors.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Collaboration was essential for the success of this project. I had to listen actively to my team members, take their ideas into account, and compromise when necessary, especially when we had differing opinions on aspects like decorations or the countdown banner. By sharing my artistic skills and supporting team members who struggled with creative tasks, I was able to contribute to a more inclusive and effective team effort. Working together allowed us to design a program that balanced fun and gratitude, and reinforced how collective effort and teamwork can make a project more creative, enjoyable, and impactful.

Overall, planning the last day for our seniors was an exciting and rewarding CAS experience. Despite the challenges of early mornings, tight deadlines, and balancing multiple commitments, I was proud to contribute creatively, responsibly, and collaboratively. Using my art skills and helping others added a personal touch to the decorations and overall experience. This project allowed me to develop resilience, organization, teamwork, and leadership skills, and it left me with a sense of satisfaction knowing that our efforts created a memorable farewell for our senior batch. I am grateful to have been part of this meaningful experience.
