I participated in organizing and contributing to a Garba Fest, where I worked with peers to plan the event, help with décor, and support overall coordination. This experience combined my interest in cultural activities with creativity and teamwork, while also allowing me to be part of a celebration that brought the school community together.

LO2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills
One of the challenges was figuring out how to create décor that was both festive and practical for the venue. I also had to manage time effectively between schoolwork and preparations. By overcoming these challenges, I developed problem-solving and time-management skills.

LO3 – Initiate and plan a CAS experience
I was actively involved in planning the event by helping to organize materials, decide on decorations, and contribute to the setup process. This gave me experience in event planning and showed me how much effort goes into even small details of organizing a cultural fest.

LO4 – Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
Preparation for Garba Fest required multiple practice and planning sessions, as well as hands-on work during setup. Staying committed until the very end, despite the workload, taught me the importance of dedication in ensuring the success of an event.

LO5 – Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
Working collaboratively with peers was the most rewarding aspect. Dividing responsibilities and supporting one another made the process smoother and more enjoyable. I learned how teamwork not only reduces individual stress but also enhances creativity and efficiency.

I have a strong interest in cultural activities, which makes Garba Fest meaningful to me. I enjoy being part of such events because they provide opportunities for creative expression while also celebrating traditions. My purpose in selecting this CAS experience was to learn new skills in event coordination and to contribute to a cultural celebration that strengthens community spirit.

The Garba Fest was more than just an event—it was a chance to blend creativity, culture, and collaboration.
