Pickleball Tournament – Activity

During a casual pickleball tournament, I had the chance to experience the sport in a competitive yet friendly setting. Although I did not win, the experience gave me an opportunity to reflect on my abilities, stay committed despite setbacks and appreciate the importance of working with others.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
Playing in the tournament made me more aware of where I stood as a player. I realized that I had good reflexes and could react quickly to fast shots, which often gave me an advantage during rallies. At the same time, I noticed areas I needed to work on, such as positioning and consistency in my serves. Recognizing these strengths and weaknesses helped me understand how I could improve in the sport.

LO4: Show perseverance and commitment in CAS experience
The matches were not easy, and there were moments when repeated mistakes felt discouraging. Still, I kept pushing myself to play each point with focus and effort. Even though I didn’t advance far, I stayed committed until the end, making sure I gave my best performance. This perseverance reminded me that commitment matters as much as results.

LO5: Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively
Pickleball often involved playing doubles, which made teamwork essential. I had to coordinate with my partner, deciding who would cover certain shots, encouraging each other after mistakes and adjusting our strategy together. These moments highlighted how much smoother the game became when communication and support were strong.

Conclusion
The pickleball tournament was both fun and insightful. It helped me recognize my strengths while showing me where I need growth, taught me the value of staying committed even in tough moments, and reinforced the benefits of teamwork. More than just a game, it was a chance to learn about myself and the importance of collaboration.
